Why VWBL?

Why use VWBL? Who is it for?

Decentralized

The long term goal for VWBL is to fully decentralize key management, where there is no central authority to control VWBL. This allows more freedom for the content creator when it comes to selling and distributing their created content.

Secure

A fully decentralized VWBL Network will manage keys for decryption and verify access rights. The blockchain's crypto economic security guarantees that the state of "who has access rights of digital content" cannot be tampered with.

Composable

There are various dApps like NFTs, DAOs, DeFi on blockchains. Additionally, a user's identity information is stored on global state/wallet. VWBL provides flexibility in which developers can define access conditions from any on-chain information, allowing seamless and permissionless integration.

Platform Interoperability

There are many blockchains such as Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Near, etc. with various features and benefits; VWBL is flexible enough to easily support almost every blockchain (our goal is to support as many as possible and reinforce flexibility). For file storage, currently VWBL supports AWS S3 and IPFS storage. VWBL will be extended to support other storages mediums like arweave, Sia, etc. as needs arise.
